Project Overview

Our client requested a complete transformation of their front driveway with a new block paving design, covering a total area of 30 square meters. The goal was to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the home while ensuring long-lasting durability and functionality.

Scope of Work

We began the project with a thorough assessment of the existing driveway, followed by a step-by-step process to ensure a smooth, professional finish:

  1. Excavation: The first step was removing the existing concrete driveway. Our team used specialized equipment to carefully excavate the area, ensuring a clean and solid foundation.
  2. Weed Membrane Installation: To prevent future weed growth, we laid down a high-quality weed membrane across the excavated area.
  3. Type 1 MOT Base: A strong foundation is essential for a durable driveway. We laid a new Type 1 MOT base, ensuring the area was fully compacted for maximum stability.
  4. Sand and Cement Layer: We carefully spread a layer of sharp sand and cement to create a smooth, even surface for the paving blocks.
  5. ACO Drains: To manage water runoff and prevent pooling, we installed ACO drains along the edges of the driveway. This ensures long-term drainage efficiency and prevents future water damage.
  6. Path Edging: For a clean and defined look, we installed path edging to separate the driveway from adjacent areas, giving the project a polished appearance.
  7. Block Paving Installation: The client selected a combination of block pack bricks with a border colour of their choice. We carefully installed the paving blocks, ensuring precise alignment and a smooth, even surface.
  8. Waste Removal: We took care of all waste removal, ensuring the site was left clean and tidy upon completion.

Result

In just two days, we transformed the driveway into a visually stunning and highly functional space that complemented the home’s exterior. The new block paving is built to last, with durable materials and expert installation techniques.
