Our Solution

Scope of Work

Our process was structured and efficient to ensure the driveway was completed on time and to the client’s specifications:

  1. Excavation: We began by excavating the old driveway, removing any debris and preparing the ground for the new block paving. This involved digging to the necessary depth to ensure the proper foundation was in place.
  2. Weed Membrane: To prevent future weed growth, we laid a weed membrane across the entire area. This layer is key in ensuring the longevity and cleanliness of the driveway.
  3. Type 1 MOT Base: A Type 1 MOT base was then installed and compacted, providing a strong and stable foundation for the block paving. This step is critical to supporting the weight of vehicles and ensuring the driveway remains level over time.
  4. Sand and Cement Bedding: We applied a layer of sand and cement to create an even, smooth surface for laying the blocks. This helps maintain the integrity of the paving and ensures a level finish.
  5. Block Paving Installation: The client selected their preferred block and border colours, and we carefully laid the blocks to create a neat, symmetrical design. We ensured that all blocks were perfectly aligned, providing both structural stability and aesthetic appeal.
  6. Edging Installation: Path edging was installed to define the boundaries of the driveway, adding a polished and finished look to the project while helping to maintain the structural integrity of the paved area.
  7. Jointing and Compacting: Once the blocks were laid, we applied jointing sand to fill the gaps between the pavers, and then compacted the entire surface to secure the blocks in place.
  8. Waste Removal: As with all our projects, we ensured that all waste materials, including old driveway debris, were removed from the site, leaving it clean and ready for immediate use.

Result

The newly installed block paving driveway transformed the front of the property, giving it a modern and well-maintained look. The client was extremely satisfied with the result, particularly the high-quality finish and the efficiency of the three-day turnaround. The driveway is now both functional and aesthetically pleasing, providing long-lasting durability for years to come.
