In Morden, we were tasked with creating a modern and functional 50-square-meter block paving driveway. The client wanted a sleek design with efficient water management, so we included ACO channel drainage in the project to prevent any water pooling. Scope of Work

To meet the client’s expectations, we followed a detailed, step-by-step process:

  1. Excavation: We began by excavating the old surface, preparing the area for the new paving. This step was crucial for establishing a strong foundation and proper drainage.
  2. Weed Membrane: A weed membrane was laid across the area to prevent future weed growth from disrupting the driveway’s surface.
  3. Type 1 MOT Base: We installed a compacted Type 1 MOT base, ensuring a solid foundation that would withstand heavy use.
  4. Sand and Cement Bedding: A layer of sand and cement was applied to create a smooth, level surface for laying the paving blocks.
  5. ACO Channel Drain Installation: To ensure efficient water drainage, we installed ACO channel drains along the perimeter of the driveway. These drains were strategically placed to prevent water buildup, providing long-term protection from erosion or flooding.
  6. Path Edging: Edging stones were installed to define the boundaries and give the driveway a neat and finished look.
  7. Block Paving Installation: The client chose a specific block and border colour, which we carefully installed, ensuring precise alignment and a polished, smooth finish.
  8. Waste Removal: As part of our service, we removed all waste, leaving the site clean and ready for immediate use.
